This is an emergency.

The past week has been challenging. Things have happened. Deaths have happened.. sudden ones. It's scary. It's scary to sit here and experience all of this. Sitting back and watching all of this happens really makes my heart ache. I just sit at God's feet and ask him about it.. and he comforts me. He lets me know that he has reasons. I might not see them right now, but he HAS reasons.

All of this makes me realize.. This is an emergency. We, as Christians, have GOT to get up and tell everyone. We have to tell everyone who our Maker is. It's said all the time.. 'You may be the only Christ that a person sees'. It's soo true. West Florence is desperate for Him. We have to take advantage of the opportunities God gives us.. and make the most of each one. It's heartbreaking when I think about all of the chances I have blown during my three years at West Florence. I think it's time that we all step up and start loving on people.

A Comfy Sunday..

So.. It's no fun being sick. Yesterday, I woke up feeling horrible. Quesy, Achy.. all of it. I ended up getting sick & staying miserable until this morning. Thankfully, I'm feeling mucho better.. Just in time to get ready for WINTER RETREAT!!

For the past two years (or three?) I have boarded a bus to get away for a few days during Christmas Break with the CRASH. Usually, wherever we go, it's chilly, and we get to hangout in PJs and sweatpants for a few days.. Concentrating on each other & our Lord! It's been a fabu experience every year for me. Every single year, I've brought something new home with me. Last year, I remember being SO convicted to come home and go to WF to be a light for God to EVERY single person there. I love when I feel God pulling at the strings in my heart & trying to get my attention... It's the best feeling EVER!! I've had some amazing memories during W.R. My roomates have been awesome each year, the first year, Court, Samantha, Krissy, Kali, Alli T & I were in a room.. can you say.. crazy?! Second year.. Katherine, Liz, Em, Alimat & I .. again.. crazy! Those girls have touched my heart is so many special ways... and they've made me laugh so hard that my stomach hurt for hours! I love my friends.. but I have to say, our friendship would NOT be the same if God wasn't woven into it.

I'm so blessed.. and SO THANKFUL. Love on someone today :] Xs & Os..

Soo.. I kind of love Christmas. Not just the whole present thing, but the real reason behind it. It sounds a little cliche, but JESUS is why we celebrate! Think about it.. an entire holiday devoted to a birth.. but not just ANY birth.. A PERFECT and beautiful human's birth. How will you celebrate?

Today will be a lazy day.. ahh, I love these kinds of days! Jammies & Lifetime movies alllll afternoon :) Tonight is the annual Girls Nite-*Christmas Version*. We're exchanging gifts, watching The Notebook, and catching up on our week. I have some pretty special girls as my bestfriends! Caroline & I have known each other since 4k, and Hayley & I have known each other since she was born- April 10, 1992. It's awesome to have Christian girls as your sistas- they know when you need the pint of icecream and a chick flick, but they also know when you need encouragement and a little piece of God's Word. Needless to say.. these girls are AMAZING! And I am beyond thankful to have them.

So.. Here I go, off to the land of sleep & laziness for a fabu Sunday afternoon :) Hopefully Lifetime won't let me down....
